Responsibilities:
Our Operators are responsible for the full-time operation and general maintenance of facilities equipment and process control at water facilities and distribution systems. This position will also assist with daily and weekly grounds keeping and will offer the ability to learn and grow within the wastewater industry. Qualifications:
 High School or trade school diploma is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred.
 Valid driver’s license with a good record.
 Must live within one (1) hour of the facility.
 OSHA 40hr. certification with current 8hr refresher.
 Ability to be able to lift up to 60 pounds regularly and work in varying outdoor conditions.
 Ability to respond to emergency calls due to weather or operations.
 Mechanical skills with the ability to perform preventative maintenance as well as troubleshoot tractors, mowers, pumps, or oth-er onsite equipment.
 0-3 years of experience in a Water and/or wastewater treatment facility operation and maintenance; or any equivalent combina-tion of education and experience, preferred.
 Ability to obtain a valid New Jersey Waste Operators license through the operator’s exam or reciprocity a must.
 Knowledge of computer applications.
 Ability to read, interpret, and apply instructions, drawings and specifications for work assigned.
 Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will work directly with an experienced operator on a daily basis as part of the team. The successful candidate regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of our Industrial Wastewater Treatment facilities along with the Col-lection and Distribution Systems as directed by the Project Manager. This position requires the candidate to work a regular 40-hour week based on four (4) ten hour shifts of manned operation from Wednesday through Saturday from 6:30am to 4:30pm.
Qualifications:
 High School or trade school diploma is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred.
 2-4 years of experience in a Water and/or wastewater treatment facility operation and maintenance; or any equivalent combina-tion of education and experience, preferred.
 New Jersey Water or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's License, either N, S, T license preferred or the ability to obtain through the operator’s exam or reciprocity a must.
 OSHA 40hr. HAZWOPER with current 8hr. refresher (if applicable).
 Ability to lift up to 60 pounds on a regular basis.
 Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation' and maintenance of the Water and Wastewater Treatment, Collection and Distribution systems.
 Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in water and wastewater treatment work and be able to respond to emergency call-outs as needed.
 Knowledge of computer applications.
 Ability to read, interpret, and apply instructions, drawings and specifications for work assigned.
 Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
 A strong work ethic and team first approach are requirements for this position.

Wastewater Collection System Operator - Hanover, NJ
The Hanover Sewerage Authority in Whippany NJ is seeking qualified candidates for the full time position of Wastewater Collection System Operator.  Responsibilities include operation and maintenance of various sewer cleaning and CCTV inspection equipment and associated collection system activities such as manhole frame resetting, utility one call mark-outs, sewer installation inspections, completion and submittal of various reports and inspection of commercial and industrial grease interceptor equipment.  Additional duties include general housekeeping and upkeep of all assigned areas and equipment as well as treatment plant maintenance activities.  Availability for emergency response for sewer blockage remediation, repairs and other activities is mandatory.  Candidates must possess a High School Diploma and a valid NJ driver’s license. Possession of a Class B Commercial Driver License with N endorsement is required.  Candidates must be proficient in math, reading and writing and must be able to communicate effectively.  A minimum of three years of previous experience in wastewater collection system operations is required; possession of NJDEP operator S or C class licenses is preferred but not required.

Township of Parsippany Troy-Hills - Pumping Station Operator
Department: Water Utility
Workweek: Will train on day shift – 7:00am until 3:30pm, Monday – Friday, for one month, then be
transferred to a rotating shifts, 6 (six) days on 2 (two) days off.
Wage: Per Ordinance /H4
Skills / Duties: Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English. Understand,
remember and carry out oral and written instructions. Basic computer skills required.
Under direction, controls and operates the water departments pumping and water storage operation.
Will be trained in tasks relating to the operation of mechanical equipment, such as the operations of
various pumps, valves, generator, and other equipment. Must be able to read gages and conduct
standardized tests. Performs daily inspections of the water faculties and keeps accurate records.
Must be available for emergencies 24 hours a day and have a telephone through which he or she can
be contacted.
Possess or obtain valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), within probationary period.
Applicant with an NJDEP W-1and T-1 operators license, or the ability and willingness to obtain
within 18 months.
