Course Description:
This course will provide an overview of the requirements of the newly adopted MCLs for perfluorononanoic acid (PFNA) and 1,2,3-trichloropropane (1,2,3-TCP), specifically for licensed operators, certified laboratories, and related water system personnel. New Jersey becomes the first state to set an MCL for PFNA and the third, behind California and Hawaii, to set an MCL for 1,2,3-TCP. Sampling protocols for PFNA will be covered based on the high likelihood for sampling error. In addition, the course will provide regulatory updates on the Lead and Copper Rule, the Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR4), the Water Quality Accountability Act, the Revised Total Coliform Rule (RTCR) and more! An overview of what’s ahead in 2019 will be covered, including a status on the electronic submission of Monthly Operator Reports and potential changes to the Licensed Operator program.
