NJWA has an extensive training program of half-day and one-day sessions. Seminars are conducted at locations throughout New Jersey for the convenience of participants. Seminars are performance based. NJWA trainings cover a wide variety of subjects pertaining to the technical, managerial and financial skills necessary for efficient system operation.

    Toxic and Combustible Gas Detection Practices in the Water and Wastewater Industry

    Course Description:
    Personnel involved in the maintenance of drinking water and wastewater treatment systems are at risk of exposure to both toxic and combustible gases within many areas of a treatment system’s infrastructure. To mitigate the possibility of injury, property damage, or – at worst – fatality brought on from toxic and combustible gas leak exposure, it is vital for system operators to adopt gas leak safety practices to help ensure the health and well-being of both plant personnel and the environment in which they work.

    Disinfection Equipment Maintenance and Repair

    Course Description:
    This course is designed for hands-on operators and people interested in the repair and maintenance of chemical feed equipment associated with disinfection. This includes gas chlorinators, hypochlorite metering pumps, vacuum type liquid feeders, and tablet chlorine feeders. The course will also review disinfection chemistry and methods to improve the disinfection process.

Training is just a part of our mission by providing provide water and wastewater operators the tools they need to stay current with increasing and ever change regulations of the water and sewer business.

NJWATER has an extensive training program including water and wastewater operator training, exam preparatory courses, operations and maintenance training, safety, financial, management training and more. All of our water/watewater operator courses are New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) approved for license renewal.
